    Five water-saving tips

    • Run your washing machine and dishwasher only when they are full.
      Doing so can save up to 1,000 gallons a month.
    • Time your shower to keep it under 5 minutes.

    • If your shower can fill a one-gallon bucket in less than 20 seconds,
      replace it with a water-efficient shower head.
    • Keep a container of water in the refrigerator instead of running the tap,
      reducing water that may go down the drain.

      instead of running water from the tap.
