Automated Clearing House (ACH)

What is Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment:

ACH is an electronic bill payment program where you determine when to release the electronic payment from your checking account to Mississippi Power.

How is Automated Clearing House payment used:

ACH is mostly used by commercial customers who have the ability to create a Corporate Trade Exchange (CTX) or Cash Concentration and Disbursement plus Addendum transactions (CCD+).

How to create a payment transaction:

Please contact either your financial institution or the National Automated Clearing House (NACHA), if you have any questions on how to create a CTX or CCD+ transaction.

How to make a payment using ACH:

The transaction sent to the bank must include the payment coupon or remittance advice (10-digit Mississippi Power account number) in order to qualify for ACH payments.

Why use ACH payments:

It provides increased cash flow management by minimizing payment-posting time.

Remember we will continue to read your meter and calculate your bill each month. You will continue to receive your bill as you normally do.

How to choose the right ACH electronic payment option

Your Company's technology system will determine what ACH payment option is available to you. If unsure of what transaction to use, contact your Company's IT or purchasing department. Be advised we do not accept email or fax remittance.

Option one: Corporate Trade Exchange (CTX)
