Mississippi Power provides professional facilitation and training services to nonprofit and municipal groups in the communities we serve. Building leadership capacity is essential to building sustainable, growing communities.

We provide leadership training to 10 local leadership development programs in southeast Mississippi. This includes behavioral analysis, communication skills, conflict resolution and consensus decision making, among others. Groups include Leadership Hancock County, Leadership Lauderdale County, Leadership Jackson County and Leadership Jones County, as well as two youth leadership programs.

More than 200 current and emerging leaders participate in these programs each year, adding a steady stream of informed and engaged citizens to the leadership capacity of southeast Mississippi.

By partnering with community leaders and working with nonprofits throughout our service area, we're helping organizations maximize resources and municipalities plan their priorities. Also, we work with economic development organizations to assist with the attraction and retention of industry.
